It's True, It's True, It's True

It's True, It's True, It's True

It's True, It's True, It's True is a riveting production that explores how Artemisia Gentileschi sought justice through her art, becoming one of her generation's most successful painters. This powerful play, crafted from surviving courtroom transcripts of the 1612 trial of Agostino Tassi in Renaissance Rome, features an all-women cast re-enacting the trial in which Tassi is accused of assaulting the 17-year-old painter. With its blend of fact, myth, and modern commentary, the play has been praised as 'Gripping. Compelling. Tremendous.' by The Guardian, and is directed by acclaimed director Rebecca Wear. Note: The play includes non-sexual nudity and adult themes.
