Mark Foehringer’s Alice In Wonderland returns to the Cowell Theater at Fort Mason Center For Arts & Culture for a delightful presentation of a classic children’s tale. This danced 50-minute romp is inspired by Lewis Carroll’s timeless story, Alice’s Adventure In Wonderland, and is performed to a score by Camille Saint Saens conducted by Keisuke Nakagoshi. Foehringer’s personal interpretation of Alice emphasizes her as a heroine who faces challenges and solves them, featuring scenic design, costumes, and projections by various talented artists.

The Barber of Seville, composed by Gioachino Rossini, is a comic opera that tells the story of the clever barber Figaro as he navigates the romantic entanglements of two young lovers, Rosina and Count Almaviva. Rosina is trapped under the watchful eye of her guardian, Doctor Bartolo, who plans to marry her himself. Using cunning schemes, Figaro helps Almaviva rescue Rosina from her predicament.
