The Barber of Seville, composed by Gioachino Rossini, is an exuberant comedy that features some of the most joyful music in all of opera. Celebrated for its brilliant overture and catchy arias, the opera captures the story of Figaro, a clever barber who assists two young lovers, Rosina and Count Almaviva, in their quest for love amidst the obstacles posed by the curmudgeonly Dr. Bartolo. In a flamenco-inspired production directed by Emilio Sagi, audiences will enjoy colorful costumes and a vibrant setting, making the performance a delightful spectacle.

Dolby Family's Opera For the Bay

San Francisco Opera is partnering with the Dolby Family to provide a ticketing benefit to the residents of the Bay. Two $10 tickets in great seating locations for Bay Area residents are available for one performance during the 2024/25 Season. These tickets go on sale one month prior to the opening of each production and are available for a limited time while supplies last! The first tickets for the production of La Bohème will go on sale April 22, 2025.
