SF BALLET SCHOOL SPRING FESTIVAL

On May 9 and 10, San Francisco Ballet School students will take the stage for a gala-style performance at the War Memorial Opera House for the annual San Francisco Ballet School Spring Festival. This will not only be the first time many of these talented young dancers will appear on this stage, but it will also be the first time that the Grammy Award–winning San Francisco Ballet Orchestra will perform at the Spring Festival alongside the students. The program, curated by School Director Grace Holmes, will celebrate the incredible legacy of SF Ballet and SF Ballet School with choreographic selections from former Artistic Directors, performed by the stars of tomorrow. Expect excerpts from some of the most treasured pieces created for SF Ballet, as well as new works created for the students. New this year will be the addition of a Meet the Artist interview before each performance. Get special insight from artists to be announced later this spring. A special fundraising dinner will take place in the grand Main Lobby on Saturday, May 10, following a late matinee performance.
