This dual-track camp offers students the choice to perform onstage in Shrek KIDS with Backyard Kids' Theater or to participate in Marin Theatre’s new Behind the Scenes Magic camp. Campers learn how theatre works behind the scenes—designing and building sets, costumes, props, and visual elements. Throughout the week, students support the play being created by their peers in Shrek the Musical KIDS, helping bring the production to life for a Saturday performance. Working with professional theatre artists in a real theatre, campers gain hands-on skills, collaborate as a team, and turn creative ideas into real stage magic. No experience needed—just curiosity and imagination!

Mark Foehringer’s Alice In Wonderland 2026

Mark Foehringer’s Alice In Wonderland returns to the Cowell Theater at Fort Mason Center For Arts & Culture for a delightful presentation of a classic children’s tale. This danced 50-minute romp is inspired by Lewis Carroll’s timeless story, Alice’s Adventure In Wonderland, and is performed to a score by Camille Saint Saens conducted by Keisuke Nakagoshi. Foehringer’s personal interpretation of Alice emphasizes her as a heroine who faces challenges and solves them, featuring scenic design, costumes, and projections by various talented artists.
