Join Open Door Legal in a discussion on how legal services are a cost-effective way to reduce homelessness in the city. In San Francisco, it is extremely burdensome for those who need it to obtain legal help for issues other than eviction defense. Yet the vast majority of legal issues that cause homelessness are not eviction-related. By scaling up civil legal services to fill this gap, we estimate that SF can cut homelessness by 40% at a fraction of the cost of alternative solutions. This event will feature a lively conversation led by Adrian Tirtanadi, Executive Director of Open Door Legal.
