Join us for a 2-day hands-on workshop led by artist and sculptor Zoe Dufour. This workshop will take place on February 20th and 21st, 2026, from 10 AM to 5 PM each day, featuring a one-hour lunch break. Participants will sculpt an 18-inch tall torso using contemporary hand-building techniques informed by Renaissance and 19th-century sculpting practices. Through close observation, students will learn about anatomical structure and form relationships as they create their sculptures. The course includes hands-on instruction, sculpting demonstrations, constructive critiques, and lectures. A total of 50 lbs of clay, tools, and firing services will be provided. No prior experience is necessary, as teaching will be tailored to individual needs.
