Ngozi Anyanwu’s The Monsters at Berkeley Rep is a raw West Coast premiere about siblings and reconciliation. The play tells the story through the lens of LIL, who has been observing her estranged brother BIG from the shadows, unravelling themes of reunion and buried resentment. The Monsters delivers an emotional knockout and grapples with the demons we must face to reconnect, rebuild, and forgive. The production features a compelling narrative and has been developed in Berkeley Rep’s Center for the Creation and Development of New Work.
