Step into the Light is a youth arts contest for Bay Area high school students, inspired by the work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr and his speech given at the Cow Palace in 1964. Youth are called to “speak out” through their creative voices on topics important to them, shining a light on concerns in a creative, constructive way. Students may enter in the categories of fine arts, photography, essay, poetry, and film. All work will be displayed at a reception held on February 4th, at 6:00pm.
