Join Book Passage and the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) for a special workshop with award-winning middle-grade author Mae Respicio! This event will focus on the unique storytelling form of novel-in-verse, where every word counts and emotion cuts straight to the heart. Participants will explore key elements such as voice, structure, and the balance between poetry and plot. Attendees will engage in writing exercises and leave with insights to craft their own verse novels. Ideal for both new writers and those with a verse novel in progress.
