Enjoy an afternoon full of vibrant live entertainment, featuring Queen Iminah & the AAFE Kids Dance Company and our Spoken Word Poetry Slam! Don’t miss out on our arts & craft station, free culinary delights from Black-owned businesses, and an inspiring talk by our guest speaker Otis R. Taylor on race and equity. Our big headliner this year is Bay Area indie artist August Lee Stevens! This performance will showcase August's own sense of radical Black Joy as she performs original music from her upcoming projects. Bay Area American Indian Two-Spirit Powwow 2025
Join the Indigenous two-spirits community for the annual Bay Area American Indian Two-Spirit Powwow at Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture. This event celebrates Indigenous culture and offers a gender-affirming experience for the diverse two-spirits and LGBTQ+ communities. It will feature various performers in traditional regalia, alongside dance, singing, drumming, contests, and vendors offering Indigenous art, jewelry, and food. This year's powwow takes place on Saturday, February 1, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Free Admission, with donations welcome.
